Nike SB Dunk Hi Tauntaun

We just came upon this initial photos of the Nike SB Dunk Hi “TaunTaun”. Star War fans are familiar with the name, as it the name of the species from Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back that call the ice planet of Hoth their home. In case you forgot, Luke Skywalker rides one at the beginning of the film.

Thanks to Shawn Baravetto, the species has become the inspiration behind this pair of Dunk SBs, which sport a blue and grey design, blending what seems like corduroy and plush suede. As of now, they are scheduled to drop in November as a quickstrike release.

Air Jordan 4 GS – White – Cement – 2012 Retro

Here's another detailed look at the GS size of that upcoming release; as mentioned before, the plastic 'wing' has been replaced with a leather-wrapped version seen in later Air Jordan IV retros like the 'Mist Blue', 'Cool Grey', and 'Tour Yellow'. The black speckling from the original version returns as well, but considering the last time we saw the Air Jordan IV Cement had 'Nike Air' on the heel, the Jumpman on the heel will take some 'getting used to'. In any case, these will be one of the most popular Air Jordan Retro releases of 2012.

Air Jordan XI – Michael Jordan 25th Anniversary Promo (Sample)

We've been occupied with the Air Jordan XI Holiday craze for the last four years, but let's not be so quick to overlook the 25th Anniversary colorway that hit stores last May! The quirkiest detail of this release was the fact the there was no Jumpman logo on the heel of the shoe, but 25 'Jumpman'ed' pairs of the 25th Anniversary Air Jordan XI were circulated, although not all 25 pairs have been brought to light. Here's a look at Air Jordan XI 25th Anniversary Promo Sample that was made just for Michael Jordan himself; as you can clearly see, the heels feature the Jumpman logos in Metallic Silver. Would you have preferred these released with the famous silhouette? Check out these new detailed images below and to place your bid on this rare pair of Air Jordans, check out the auction from pe.samples on eBay.

Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Concrete Terrorist’ Customs by Falsequest

The Nike SB Dunk Low 'Concrete Terrorist' was created in tribute to that 2002-05 period many SB heads consider the label's golden era, their simple two-toned colorblocking pattern cast in the kind of suede and canvas that'd make anyone with classical leanings smile inside.

RELEASE REMINDER: Air Jordan XIV – ‘Light Graphite’

As all retail brands go, the Holiday shopping season is when the year's best wares are typically set aside. Looking back to the Holiday 2010 season, we received four Air Jordan II Retros, a plethora of Air Jordan XIIIs, the Cool Grey XI, and more Jordan goodies that made the gift-giving/receiving experience a real treat for Jordan fans. Starting off the Holiday 2011 Retro push is the return of the Air Jordan XIV, which last popped its head out from underground in 2005; this new themed colorway of 'Light Graphite' should be implemented onto other models, as we've already seen with the Jordan Hydro Slide.

Nike Air Maestro Flight White/Black-Volt

These days, when someone mentions Maestro, you probably think of Levi Maestro. However, in this case, we are talking about the Nike Air Maestro Flight, a sneaker that dates back to Scottie Pippen when he ran the hardwood with Michael Jordan. White leather completely dominates the leather upper, including the white Nike Swoosh. A midnight black tongue strikes away from the white background. while volt accents handle the branding. Release for the retro sneaker should be in the near future in this colorway, as well as the Medium Grey/Solar Red we posted earlier last week.

Made for Skate x Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Roller Derby’

The designer of the first skateboard is one of those mysteries that even the most advanced archaeologist will never solve, a piece of American history born in California to an anonymous creator that could be seen to foreshadow the sport's DIY/indie spirit. Juergen Bluemlein and Daniel Schmid created the Made for Skate exhibition and book back in 2008 as one of the most comprehensive retrospectives on the sport/art of skateboarding along with a super-limited 24-pair run of Blazer High SBs to commemorate the occasion. Three years later, we get our first look at a model inspired by some of the earliest artifacts they unearthed, a Nike SB Dunk Low 'Roller Derby' inspired by the hilariously low-fucntioning boards by that same name first sold back in 1959. You can get a sense for what the creators had in mind when you examine the insoles and other images after the jump; will these go down in Swoosh Skateboarding low like the 'Lucky' and 'Unlucky' pairs that also feature toebox embroidery?

Nike Air Max 97 Vac Tech Black/Black

The Nike Air Max 97 returns for Fall/Winter 2011 in an interesting new colorway. It has been a while since we came across a new ‘97 that we really like. Featuring a matte black upper and sole, the sneaker once again looks like it comes from the future with its clean, yet wavy lines going across the entire upper. The sneaker is now available from CoolJsMiami 954 591 4165.
