Air Jordan VI + VII ‘Olympic Pack’ Potential 2012 Release

Just like that extra day at the end of February, we’ve come to expect extra activity out of Nike and Jordan Brand each four years when the Olympic Games roll around. London 2012 marks the 20th anniversary of Michael and his Dream Teammates taking over Barcelona and setting the stage for an unprecedented stretch of USAB dominance, and now that Nike has started to show off some of its USAB wares, rumors have started flying about what we can expect from the Jumpman.

The ‘Olympic’ Air Jordan VII MJ actually wore in Spain back in ’92 is pretty much out of the question considering last year’s ‘FTLOTG’ release, but another model from the first three-peat is also known for its ‘Olympic’ colorway. It looks like the Air Jordan VI made famous by Ray Allen at the 2000 Games in Sydney, Australia will hit retailers around the same time as a new black and gold AJVII. Further speculations abound with regard to the possible double packaging and even a new AJVI to be bundled with the Sevens, with the Sydney Olympic Sixes releasing separately. - Sneakernews.com
