All this week for the greatest of all time turning 50 I'm going to post some of my Jordan art in Black and White and Rock my favorite J's until Feb-17. I will also explain the love i have for the individual kicks because unlike some of the kicks i've sold or just given away these will stay with me until i retire from this earth and move on. My first pic is a tight nit depiction of the two iconic characters that branded the shoes at some point in to your brain. Spike lee (Mars Blackmon) and Michael Jordan, "It's got to be the shoes".

THE GOD M.C. MEETS KIXART

A couple months back while listening to Rakims solo studio album "The 18th Letter" i sketched up the above pic. A couple hours later i was contacted by someone linked to the God M.C and the next thing i knew the planets aligned and #1 in my top 5 MC's of all time was right there infront of me. Humble guy and the flow is still sharp as he brought down the house with a live band downtown Miami. Definitely a high point of my life to meet one of my heros in the rap game and more motivation to continue creating from the mind. #kixart "The R" is available as a limited print at kixionary.com

AF1 "LIFESTYLES" CUSTOMS PART 2

The art of confusion can only be mastered by few. Now the art of confusion and customs has been mastered by one. Earlier in the week i posted part 1 of the "LIFESTYLES" AF1 customs being done by Miami artist Alexander "Customz" Perez and today we have the finished product. Customz loosened up the strait jacket and put away the meat cleavers and decided to splash NewYork City all over these AF1's. Filled with tributes to NY, porn and dope street art, customz manages to tie it all together as only he can. The custom box gives me flashbacks of 80's NewYork graffiti and these kicks in the swag of Jay "this here is a one of one, that means none before it and none to come". Enjoy the pics below.

Nike What The Dunk Remix By Sam Wise

In one of the best looking photoshop jobs that we have seen in a while Sam Wise has created his very own mock up of the Nike What The Dunk. The sneakerhead wizardry was done by handy camera work and even handier photoshop work to create a sneaker that we are sure would fetch top dollar if ever created. He used his 5 favorite Dunk’s to craft this and we are curious which one of you can tell us the names of the Dunks he used. Who knows? - via Kicksonfire.com

Nashmoney Sneaker Speakers

As part of the Inspired Ingenuity competition by Havana Club, Nashmoney, known for his well executed sneaker customizations, created the above sneaker speakers.

The competition is taking place over the first six months of 2011, challenging artists, musicians and other creative talents to takes the everyday and turn it into something special. A winner will be picked each month, and the final winner will win a trip to Cuba.

To help promote the competition, Intercity commissioned three artists to create a piece of work that takes the everyday and turns it into something special – and as we see sneaker customisation as its own form of Inspired Ingenuity, Nash was an obvious choice as one of those artists. The result is a fully working Nike Air Force 1 sneakers turned into a set of speakers.
