Air Jordan 9 Doernbecher

Another 9? Personally i think this boxed in time frame release of Jordan 9's was the worst jORDAN brand idea ever but wait there's more. Instead of releasing that horrible all elephant upper DB 5 they have decided to drop another 9. Smh... Atleast this one is for a good cause but again personally i'll pass.

Designed by 11 year old, Oswaldo Jimenez, who is diagnosed with severe pulmonary hypertension helped design this Air Jordan 9. He got his inspiration from his Mexican heritage. The tongue tag will bear Oswaldo’s nickname “Pollito”, which means “little chicken”.

The upper will feature feather-like graphics throughout the mudguard. His lucky number “17″ can be found on the back heel as well. His birthday September 13 can also be found behind the tongue. Mark your calendars because the Air Jordan 9 Doernbecher has a release date on November 30th.

"The eighth installment of Nike’s partnership with the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital was unveiled in early October; six children were selected to design six different Nike footwear models – one of which was the Air Jordan IV Retro. Air Jordan 4 Doernbecher 2011

Back in June, we received a teaser image of the Air Jordan 4 Doernbecher for 2011. Today we get a full look at the sneaker courtesy of Air Randy in all of its glory. Starting with a black nubuck base, the model features royal blue stitching to match the Superman logo on the tongue. Several tones of bright green contrast the darker black upper, with white coating the liner and midsole. Additional details include graphic arrows throughout the upper and an afro’d individual on the lateral ankle. Currently release information is at a minimum, so there is no release date as of yet.

Nike 2010 Doernbecher Freestyle Collection

This weekend NSW 21 Mercer will be dropping 6 shoes that make up the 2010 Doernbecher Freestyle Collection. On Friday the ZM Paul Rodriguez 2.5, Air Force 1 ‘07 LE, Wmns Free Run+, and Air Zenyth drop, while the Air Jordan III and Wmns Zoom Vomero+ 5 will release on Saturday. Each of these shoes was designed by a patient at the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, with all proceeds going back to support the facility.
