Levi Maestro x Vans Vault Old Skool – UNDFTD Release Recap

West Coast streetwear giants Undefeated have released several of their own collaborations with Vans, but most recently, the La Brea location hosted a launch for another Off the Wall tag team effort. It was last Saturday that the Levi Maestro x Vans Vault Old Skool touched down with considerable fanfare, and it seems the shoe’s greyscale upper has bled over into some of these recap images. In4mation x Vans Chukka Low ‘Rattles’

The Vans Chukka Low ‘Rattles’ come with an all over snakeskin print, which is an interesting contrast on this otherwise classic skate shoe. Nothing distracts from the clean snake upper. Logos and theme of the collaboration are only featured on the in-sole.

Limited to only 200 pairs, the sneaker will release on January 13th, 2012, at the new retail / gallery space by In4mation, called The Human Imagination. Very few pairs will also be going into the official In4mation online store.

Vans Vault Fall 2011 Vintage Pack – Mid Skool ‘77 LX & Era 46 LX

Here is a preview of the From the Vans Vault Fall 2011 Collection Vintage Pack, which consists of the Mid Skool ‘77 LX and the Era 46 LX. Both sneakers come in two premium leather colorways and will be released September 2011 at select retailers.

Vans x Pearl Jam SK8-Hi

To commemorate the band’s 20th anniversary is finally out and we can check out this limited edition release in more detail.

The two colorways are tributes to Pearl Jam, as a green/yellow suede make-up is a nod to their home town’s former basketball team Seattle Supersonics, whereas the black suede/flannel references the band famously donning flannel shirts before the grunge music scene really kicked off.

Both pairs feature ‘PJ’ accompanied by crossbones on the tongue tab, the band’s name stitched into the heel, further artwork on the in-sole and all wrapper up in exclusive packaging.

4Q + Vans Sk8-Mid Max Schaaf

Vans and pro skater/motorcycle builder Max Schaaf continue their collaborative streak into Fall 2011 with a third 4Q edition sneaker. This time working with the Sk8-Mid silhouette, Vans and 4Q cook up another clean shoe, apt for both skating and bike riding alike. Motorbike riding that is.

Vans Vault “Premio Pack”

The Sk8-Hi and Slip-On are caught in the crosshairs of this release and they both look great dressed in the Black or Burgundy leather. For the Sk8-Hi they gave each sneaker a traditional White outsole while the Slip-On features a Black s0le on Black leather or a Gum sole on Burgundy leather. Look for this pack to hit shelves this Fall.

Vans California 2011 Fall Switchback CA Waxed Canvas

The Vans California Switchback for fall makes its debut in a waxed canvas that provides the 2011 silhouette with a premium look. Helping to enhance the models outdoorsy look, the waxed canvas includes a chocolate upper that blends with the padded ankle and round laces. Vans Vault + Frank’s Chop Shop + New Era

In addition to the Vans Vault x Frank’s Chop Shop 106 LX sneakers, Vans and Frank also created a matching New Era 59Fifty fitted cap featuring a checkerboard lining (see it in our gallery) and a custom Off the Wall silhouette made from real grip tape. The product is now available exclusively at Frank’s Chop Shop and select Vault by Vans accounts in the USA. A release party will take place tonight at The Box in Manhattan featuring music from DJ Stretch Armstrong.

Alexander Lee Chang + Vans Chukka

Japanese designer Alexander Lee Chang is not new to collaborating with Vans. After having worked already on the Sk8 Hi and the Era in previous collaborations, he now presents his design on the Chukka. The patent leather upper features the classic checker black/white patter and some smaller design accents on the tongue and mid-sole.

Lightning Bolt + Jackson Matisse Chukka

With me being a fan of the Chukka line i must say this is a nice looking camouflage Chukka. The mid top features a canvas upper and the camouflage continues onto the mid-sole. The sneakers are now in stock at Zozograndh.

Vans Syndicate x WTAPS Burgundy “Bones” Pack

Next season Vans Syndicate and WTAPS are re-releasing their popular “bones” series of footwear, this time in burgundy suede. Just like the black and navy blue collections, the Chukka, Sk8-Hi and Era all offered in suede with all over embroidery, and WTAPS labeling. Sure to be a popular release.
