Entourage x Nike SB Dunk Low “Lights Out” Cancelled

Yup, you read the title of this post right. Much like the beloved television series that the shoe was made to represent the Nike SB Dunk Low “Lights Out” will no longer be releasing. From what we hear it is due to legal issues stemming from the use of Entourage branding but all that means is that if you can get your hands on a pair you will officially be hte man. Don’t expect to see many pairs of these outside of eBay if even there.

Made for Skate x Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Roller Derby’

The designer of the first skateboard is one of those mysteries that even the most advanced archaeologist will never solve, a piece of American history born in California to an anonymous creator that could be seen to foreshadow the sport's DIY/indie spirit. Juergen Bluemlein and Daniel Schmid created the Made for Skate exhibition and book back in 2008 as one of the most comprehensive retrospectives on the sport/art of skateboarding along with a super-limited 24-pair run of Blazer High SBs to commemorate the occasion. Three years later, we get our first look at a model inspired by some of the earliest artifacts they unearthed, a Nike SB Dunk Low 'Roller Derby' inspired by the hilariously low-fucntioning boards by that same name first sold back in 1959. You can get a sense for what the creators had in mind when you examine the insoles and other images after the jump; will these go down in Swoosh Skateboarding low like the 'Lucky' and 'Unlucky' pairs that also feature toebox embroidery?

Nike SB Dunk Low “Gold Dust”

From the Nike SB September 2011 collection. The shoe is dubbed “Gold Dust” due to the use of that hue along most of the sneaker. We’ve seen gold dust grace another pair of Nike SB Dunk Lows in the past, the Money Cats. Unlike those, this pair is a bit more subtle, as it is contrasted by simple black and white accents.

Nike SB Dunk Low – Medium Grey/University Blue

Nike SB recently dropped an in-depth preview of some of their August 2011 releases, including this new collegiate inspired Dunk Low. Seen here in Medium Grey and University Blue, the sneaker is crafted from suede, traced with a gum outsole. The Grey is contrasted nicely by the Blue, which gives the mid panel some pop. If you want to grab a pair, they will be available in two weeks at your local Nike SB retailer.

Nike SB Dunk Low “Space Jam”

Jordan Brand is really looking to heat things up this July and while technically these Nike SB Dunk Space Jam’s are not a Jordan Brand sneaker their influence undeniably is. The sneaker is finally set to hit stores on July 23rd meaning that some of you are going to be overspending in July. The shoe will be released to QS retailers and the date is obviously to celebrate MJ himself so don’t expect to cop a pair any earlier than the release date UNLESS you're on eBay.

Nike SB Dunk Passport Pack

Nike SB gets creative for this next drop of Dunks that belong to the Passport Pack. The set of low tops mimic the US and UK passport’s cover by using suede and textured leather. Coming in either Navy or Maroon they are also trimmed in the according metallic color. If you ever wanted dual citizenship or even a passport at all this would be a great place to start. They have already been spotted in the UK and will be touching down in the US soon.

Nike SB Dunk Entourage “Lights Out”

Though details are scarce at the moment, the “Lights Out” Nike SB Dunk you see above was put together by Doug Ellin, Creator of Entourage. As an SB fanatic, it was only right that Doug hooked up with Nike SB by way of Hot Rod – his preferred retailer of choice, on an exclusive friends and family release. The ”Lights Out” all black motif symbolizes the end of an era – as the final season of Entourage quickly approaches. Stay close to be the first to hear any upcoming news surrounding the Nike SB that just might be one of the most hypeworthy Dunks of all time.
