The Swizz Beatz – designed Reebok Kamikaze III Mid has been turning heads with its intriguing designs. Seen here is one of the latest versions to surface, sporting a silver color scheme that is contrasted with black red, and white hues. Synthetics and mesh are applied, while patent leather sits on the area surrounding the toe. Look for these now at shops including NYC-based Extra Butter.
Swizz has been on top of his game as the Global Creative Director of Reebok. In our interview, Swizz mentioned that he has already finished the capsules for 2012. Well it looks like bits and pieces of these are starting to leak out with the three colorways seen here being the first bits. For the first two, Swizz has gone with brighter tones like turquoise, fire-red, and bright blue, while the third pair is a little more reserved with an olive and evergreen color-up. - Via kicksonfire.com
In an interesting announcement, Tokyo designer Verbal, best known for his brand Ambush and musical involvements, has been named creative director of Reebok Classics Asia. He joins global creative director Swizz Beatz, who has already started in his new role and released the Kamikaze sneaker as part of the project. The results of Verbal’s involvement should be interesting.
The all black joints had mixed reviews but the red/red may make up for that. Now only if they had a release date...
Swizz has taken his Reebok Kamikazee III to the next level with this “Black Magic” colorway. Metallic silver and black patent leather along with scored shiny leather give this sneaker a pretty radiant look. Metallic silver shoe strings also add to the entire look while a Red outsole grounds it a bit. The shimmery shoe is certainly a model that will stand out next to any model you put it up against. No word on if these will release.
