Nike Kobe 8 System - Venice Beach

words // Luis Sanchez - Solecollector.com
The much anticipated "Venice Beach" Kobe 8 by Nike Basketball will finally be hitting select retailers this holiday weekend.

Easily one of the most eyecatching colorways we've seen put on display over the Kobe 8, this weekend's release arrives covered in a number of vibrant tones inspired by Venice Beach. A combination of blue, red and yellow come together over the grey Engineered Mesh upper, while a smoked translucent outsole sits below.

The "Venice Beach" Nike Kobe 8 System is set to release this Saturday, May 25th at select Nike Basketball accounts nationwide.

Nike Basketball Easter Collection 2013

Does this easters collection out do 2012's? I'm trying to not believe that nike is rolling the dice and just getting lucky with designs because 2013's easter pack is a bit lack luster. The Lebron has improved compared to the last drop but the poison dart frog and KD's to me are better than the 2013 drop. With a kaleidoscope of colors and a range of pastels at your disposal the KD's should have more than just a hit on the swoosh and interior and the Kobe could have been much much more.

NIKE ZOOM KOBE VII - "WHAT THE KOBE"

While Kobe's 2012 season is over (cue Nelson Muntz laugh), new colorways of his signature Nike Zoom Kobe VII are still going strong, as evidenced by today's preview of the upcoming "What The Kobe." Sneaker Freaker provides these new images of the "What The Kobe," an over the top colorway featuring a medley of patterns and colors referencing previous predator-themed Kobe VIIs. Will the "What The Kobe" follow in the footsteps of the "What The Dunk" with an extremely limited release?

Nike Dream Season 3 Low

Kobe Bryant’s Asia exclusive has been spotted in this colorway that would surely go over well in America. The sneaker features a mix of Cool Grey, Black and Cement Grey with what looks to be dashes of Concord on the logo and lining. Nike Zoom, Blade Traction and Flywire are all in tact to give this one a technological push and give any athletes who lace them up a true competitive edge. More than likely you will have to score your pair via ebay or another online retailer.

Nike SB Kobe Bryant x Koston 1 ‘General Release version’

Last week every body got hyped about the limited Nike SB Kobe Bryant x Koston 1 sneaker, coming in an edition of only 24 pairs. It looks like there will be a better looking and more widely available version of the sneaker dropping soon. The sneaker comes with the same colors on the upper, yet the upper comes with an embossed pattern, rather than the more complicated Kobe VI upper styling. I am definitely adding these to the collection and i suggest yawl do the same.

Nike Air Zoom Kobe V “Bruce Lee”

Photobucket

Photobucket

The latest colorway in Kobe Bryant’s fifth signature shoe from Nike was inspired by martial arts legend Bruce Lee. The black and yellow upper was inspired by the jumpsuit worn by Bruce Lee in the movie Game of Death (where Bruce Lee fights Lakers legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar!) The shoe also features red claw marks on the forefoot, representing the cuts Lee suffered in Enter the Dragon. Available this weekend at select Nike Basketball retailers. Easily the best concept sneaker of the year.
