Sony PlayStation Move's on the Wii

Japanese gaming giant Sony makes a strong play for Nintendo Wii market share with their latest announcement. The PlayStation Move motion controller (for PS3) functions much like Nintendo’s Wii Remote and Nunchuck, working in conjunction with the PlayStation Eye camera and a sub-controller – though Sony claims their version is much more accurate. And you can play in HD. We’ll have to wait and see if this can compete with a traditional controller/Wii gaming. The PlayStation Move releases sometime this Fall.

Google Nexus One Phone

Google today unveiled their own-brand smartphone called the Nexus One. Built in partnership with HTC, the Nexus One is a slim, touchscreen phone engineered to run Google’s powerful Android 2.1 Operating System. Tech specs include a 3.7-inch display, a 1GHz Snapdragon chipset, GPS, accelerometer, a 5-megapixel camera with flash and all the Google apps you can handle. Now shipping within the US. Carhartt - Vestax Handy Trax USB Turntable

We just announced the upcoming release of the Carhartt x Vestax Handy Trax USB Turntable earlier this week. Here follows now a detailed look at the machine. A tough plastic casing and the capability to operate at angles of up to 90 degrees make the Handy Trax player fit for universal use. On top of this, a stereo line-out makes hooking it up to your hi-fi system at home easy and a mini line-in jack also allows you to connect external devices such as MP3 players. Leica M7 Hermès Edition

The strictly limited Leica M7 Edition Hermès comes in silver chrome with a choice of two striking calfskin leather finishes – orange and étoupe – supplied by Hermès. Just 100 of each colour will be made available, and each individual camera will have a special sequential serial number between 001/200 and 200/200.

To complement the design of the camera, the special Leica M7 Edition Hermès set includes a silver anodised Leica Summilux-M 35 mm f/1.4 ASPH. wide-angle lens, a matching classic round lens hood in silver anodised metal – manufactured specifically for these models – and a Leicavit M rapid winder in silver chrome. A real leather carrying strap, handcrafted by Atelier Hermès to match the colour of each camera, provides the finishing touch. Each set is delivered in a linen-covered, silk-lined box.




The Leica M7 Edition Hermès camera has a number of distinct features compared to the standard Leica M7 model. For example, the top plate is engraved with the Leica name in classic script: the red Leica logo has been omitted to preserve the colour harmony of the leather covering. All control elements of the Leica M7 Edition Hermès have been manufactured exclusively in metal, and the back of the camera is finished in silver chrome. Furthermore, the red colour of the engraved auto and 7 settings on the shutter speed dial has been replaced by the specific shade of the camera’s leather. The technical specifications of the special edition set are otherwise identical to the standard model.

The Leica M7 Edition Hermès will be available in the UK from December 2009 and is priced at an impressive 8500 Pounds.

Like many successful street brands given the no-logo-all-color-garments a face, Urbanears is set to make a statement in audio fashion wear.

Tag Heuer Meridiist Automobili Lamborghini

Inspired by the mythic Lamborghini Murcielago, TAG Heuer has teamed up with the famous Italian super sports car manufacturer to create the limited-edition MERIDIIST Automobili Lamborghini phone. In tribute to the year Automobili Lamborghini was founded, 1963 pieces of this finely-tuned device will be sold worldwide.

Housed in black titanium carbide coated 316L stainless steel, the design of the MERIDIIST Automobili Lamborghini phone references the super sports car down to its famed signature on the battery cover – the same as on the Lamborghini Murcielago LP 640’s V12 engine block. The back of the device is engraved with its limited edition number while the keyboard is customized with Automobili Lamborghini’s trademark Taurus bull on the steel central button.

The TAG Heuer MERIDIIST Automobili Lamborghini phone will be available in November at selected TAG Heuer and Lamborgini retailers.

An example of function-inspired form, the Bedol Water Clock takes the water-powered capabilities of the original and adds a new drop-shaped design.
