Nike Jordan Spizike Fresh Since 1985 “Mars Blackmon”
Since i'm more of a nike blazer fan Jordans have not been ranked high on my list of must have kix but these are the exception to the rule.Taking inspiration from Mars Blackmon,(you know spike lee in those black and white early Jordan commercials) the Jordan Spizike features various references to Spike Lee’s timeless character including lace locks, “Do You Know?” lining and an insole graphic. Along with the Mars hits, this latest rendition boasts a familiar Fire Red colorway with hints of Blue and Grey throughout. Nike Air Carnivore - Black / Purple / Sea Blue - 2010 Retro Release
One of Nike’s most unique designs is finally set to retro this year. The Nike Air Carnivore is looking to make its grand return in all of its strapped up glory. The high top has a Huarache feel with its black, green and purple nubuck and mesh upper housing a neoprene sock system that is held together by a system of straps. This color way itself is as iconic as the shoe. A black/grey camo midsole adds the finishing touch to this one. They aren’t slated to release until later on this Spring.
Nike SB Dunk Low - Black / 3M
We were all starting to get depressed as Nike SB had seemingly stopped producing hot designs in their Nike SB Dunk line-up, but the it has been rececitated, as lately we’ve seen some unique designs. The trend continues here with this pair of samples, which utilizes blue suede on the heel and midfoot, while a unique material is used on the toe, which actually protrudes off of the surface. The Nike swoosh sports a black design with red contrast stitching along the outer edges. Black large-hole mesh is stretched over 3M on the toe box and mid-panel. Highlighting the design are features such a wooden cask, complete with tap, that is branded into the nubuck, as well as an outsole constructed from gum rubber. There is no word yet as to a possible release date, as well as a source of inspiration behind them.
