KIX INSPIRED BY THE MOVIES PART 1

I've decided to school people on some a the movie inspired kicks out there and that there are more kix out there other than just Jordans. I'll be randomly dropping movie themed kix and what better way to start than with the back to the future Hyper Dunks.

Rumors and photoshop images have circulated the net that a Nike Hyperdunk would release with a Back to the Future theme, also known as the Air McFly’s. Some have doubted this news, but now it has been confirmed, the shoe is real.

What many do not know is the Nike Hyperdunk itself is inspired by the Air McFly, and this pair consists of 2015 stamped on the tongue, speckled outsole, and a overall color-way that was inspired by the Air McFly.

Todd Bratrud x SPoT x Nike SB ‘The Cigar’ Dunk High Premium

Once again Nike SB recruited Todd Bratrud to work on a nice collaborative sneaker. Inspired by a cigar, he got together with SPoT to present ‘The Cigar’ Dunk High Premium. The upper is made of dark oak and British tan leathers, the Swoosh comes in contrasting team red, all sitting on a black mid-sole and grey outer sole. All in all a great limited edition release for Fall 2011.

Just last night Sneaker News gave you a look at a crisp, deadstock pair of the original Air Jordan XI in the White/Black-Dark Concord colorway. You know, the Jordans that Michael wore a bit too early (against the wishes of Tinker Hatfield)? Michael also reverted back to his original '23' after Nick Anderson, his counterpart at the Shooting Guard position, said Michael wasn't his old self. Disney x adidas Originals adi-RISE ‘Mickey X’

We just showed you the Disney x adidas Originals Superstar II ‘Mickey X’ and it looks like these two collaborators have another one up their sleeve: the adi-RISE 'Mickey X'. It seems like the designers over at adidas were doing their best to avoid having this one go down as a typical cartoon collabo, with Mickey mean mugging on the tongue and the crossbones like logo hits on the heel and the stripes. The color choice speaks to something more serious as well, with a solid black patent leather mixed in with a bit of red here and there. Air Jordan XII Retro – Summer 2012 Releases Confirmed

With the Air Jordan IV and X already confirmed for releases next year, Jordan Brand fans have quite a load to look forward to. For the second quarter of the year, we can also expect the Air Jordan XII in three colorways to hit stores as well. Two original colorways - the Black/White 'Playoffs' (April 2012) and the Obsidian/White (June 2012) have been confirmed, and sandwiched in-between those two is a new Cool Grey/Team Orange-White version touching down in May (sounds a bit like a Charlotte Bobcats PE, doesn't it?).
