Nike SB Dunk High + Todd Bratrud = SPoT New Image

There is a definite shortage of images when it comes to Todd Bratrud’s latest contribution to the Nike SB catalog. His SPoT Nike SB Dunk High is a veritable mystery much like his other releases have been and while we have seen and heard about the shoe there still hasn’t been a full photographic break down. Here is another look at the ode to cigar smoke with its rich materials and colorway. If you look closely you can peep how the mid panel is made to look just like the paper of a cigar.

Nike LeBron 8 V/2 Low Miami Nights/Flamingo To Hit U.S. Retail

It was a slow but sure arrival to the U.S. for the LeBron 8 V/2 Low 'Miami Nights'. After an initial 'China Exclusive' release, the LeBron 8 V/2 Low Miami Nights (also referred to as the 'Flamingo') popped up at other retailers in Asia outside of China, and then again on the Nikestore UK website. State-side LeBron fans felt a bit left out from the Flamingo party, but Nikestore recently confirmed via Twitter that the Miami Nights will hit select Nike retailers in the U.S. This certainly is good news for all who have been coveting these brightly-colored V/2 Lows, so stay tuned for more updates regarding the U.S. release of the Miami Nights.

Jordan 6 Rings Carbon Fiber

The Air Jordan Legacy embraced non-conventional sneaker design by introducing a number of 'foreign' materials like 3M-reflective material (made famous by the Air Jordan V) and patent leather (immortalized by the Air Jordan XI). Another unique material that has become popular across the board for Nike and Jordan Brand is carbon fiber, which also debuted on the Air Jordan XI in the form of a midfoot spring plate that gave Michael an added 'umph' in flight. We've seen full-3M and full Patent Leather Jordan 6 Rings releases, but this September 17th, we'll see a full-Carbon Fiber version of the hybrid shoe, taking on a tonal black upper with grey and white accents (a similar combo to a Jordan CMFT Viz Air 11 that dropped earlier this year). Check out the official Jordan Brand images below and let us know what you think of the upcoming Jordan 6 Rings Carbon Fiber. - Courtesy of sneakernews.com

Nike SB Dunk High ‘SPoT’ – Cigar Box Packaging

Plenty of skateshops have designed sneakers for Nike SB, but that number for skate parks is fewer and further between, just a few notable spots around the country ever getting a chance to contribute to a special release like the one pictured above. Todd Bratrud's latest Nike SB Dunk High is nicknamed 'SPoT' for its affiliation with Skatepark of Tampa, and to further their connection with Bratrud's hobby of inhaling burning organic matter, this cigar-themed Dunk High SB will come in a flip-top similar to those you might see at a cashier's stand. They also have tearaway material on the upper like Bratrud's 'Cheech and Chong' Dunks from earlier this year, though presumably more earthiness will emanate from the scuffs instead of green.

Supra Thriller Pack

During his successful career that spanned several decades, pop-icon Michael Jackson was recognized for his unique taste in music and fashion style. From the 80's era, we remember Michael primarily for that red and black leather jacket that he wore during the game-changing 'Thriller' music video, and since MJ's unfortunate passing, design houses have used that iconic pieces of apparel to create commemorative pieces for the fallen icon. Footwear brand Supra, who had released Michael Jackson-inspired footwear before, gives it another go-around with the Supra Thriller Pack, featuring a red and black colorway of the Supra Thunder. For the added touch of authenticity, Supra added a functional retro-style zipper along the lace-placket, and the visa terry-lined inner give these fierce kicks a touch of luxury. Additional detais include the Thriller insoles and hangtag. Only 413 pairs of each pair will be distributed, available at only the most select of Supra retailers.
