Louis Vuitton Ace Sneaker Spring/Summer 2012

After having previewed the backpack yesterday from the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2012 Men’s Collection, we now take a closer look at the Ace low top sneaker. The sneaker comes in both colorful leather options and in a mix of leather and the classic Vuitton Damier canvas. We actually like the silhouette for a fashion sneaker. It seems easy to wear and will especially look nice with shorts. But having a Vuitton monogram pattern sit on the upper of a sneaker we will never get used to – it just screams ‘fake’. Therefore, we would go with the red leather colorway.

AF1 "LIFESTYLES" CUSTOMS PART 2

The art of confusion can only be mastered by few. Now the art of confusion and customs has been mastered by one. Earlier in the week i posted part 1 of the "LIFESTYLES" AF1 customs being done by Miami artist Alexander "Customz" Perez and today we have the finished product. Customz loosened up the strait jacket and put away the meat cleavers and decided to splash NewYork City all over these AF1's. Filled with tributes to NY, porn and dope street art, customz manages to tie it all together as only he can. The custom box gives me flashbacks of 80's NewYork graffiti and these kicks in the swag of Jay "this here is a one of one, that means none before it and none to come". Enjoy the pics below.

JAK & JIL Shoots Kanye and Jay-Z at Watch the Throne

Canadian street style photographer Tommy Ton has produced the best images of Watch the Throne we’ve seen yet. Shot at Madison Square Garden over two nights, his photos of Kanye West and Jay-Z have just gone online at his personal blog JAK & JIL and are full of Givenchy, Jordans, Timbs and Air Yeezy 2s.

Nike Air Force 1 High – Medium Grey – Team Red

The Nike Air Force 1 High has been making some big moves this year, turning heads once again with the ‘Duckboot’ and VT series of upgrades. Let’s not forget how strong the original leather look is in its own right though, as with the pair on display here. The unassuming medium grey/team red combo gets some neat detailing with the material progression from front to back, as the tumbled look from the posterior fades away when the shoe reaches the toe box.

Chumlee buys a pair of Jordan V's on Pawn Stars

After speaking with my boy Alex "customs" i had to look this up and post it to the blog. If you cop'n 5's learn to tell the OG's from the Retros. He still sold these too low, the pawnshop won on this one.

Air Jordan 4 Retro ‘Fire Red’ Returning in 2012

As you should already know, 2012 will see the release of the white cement version of the Air Jordan 4s, and now we are learning that the Air Jordan 4 Retro ‘Fire Red’ will also make its way back to shelves. Back in 2006, Jordan Brand released the “Mars” version, which is essentially the same thing, but the Spike Lee logo is seen on the heel. The “Fire Red” 4s originally released back in 1989, but have not been retroed in OG form since! As of now there is no word as to a specific release date, but stay tuned in for more information.

Nike Zoom Rookie LWP – Black – Anthracite

The foamy material looks exceptionally well with lustrous tones, like the metallic Anthracite we see here. Sneaker News actually showed you this colorway not long ago, but here we have a detailed set of angles that’ll surely make the Nike Zoom Rookie LWP a repeat hit in 2012. It’s hard to follow up such great releases like the Glow In The Dark or even the simply-made Binary Blue, but Anthracite/Black is slick enough to make these a must-have when they do release. - Via: Sneakernews.com

Air Jordan V ‘Tiffany’ Customs By Proof Culture

Diamond Supply Co.’s design of the Nike SB Dunk Low from the 2005 Team Managers series stands as one of the definitive Nike SB releases in history. It captured the glitz and glamour rarely, if ever seen in the rugged and rebellious sport of skateboarding, and released around a certain period of time in the Nike SB history that some may call the very peak. The ‘Tiffany’ theme has become rather popular with custom sneakers over the years, but very few have been astoundingly crafted like these Air Jordan Vs, done by Proof Culture. Using the 2011 Retro of the Black/Metallic Silver AJV, PC dyed the black upper with the decadent aqua blue painting the tongue and toe bumper along with it. The ‘sharks teeth’ also feature while speckling for that added touch. Along with the custom sneakers is a custom shoe-box, prominently featuring a Jumpman/V/Diamond logo on the outer face.

Nike Air Force 1 Bespoke Amar’e Stoudemire ‘Always On’ Giveaway

While the Carmelo Anthony trade provided a nice jolt of energy to NYC basketball, you have to give all credit to Amar’e Stoudemire for resurrecting it from the dead. Undoubtedly a legitimate MVP candidate for last season, Stoudemire has embraced the NYC sports and fashion culture rather seamlessly and has emerged as one of the faces for Nike Sportswear’s ‘Always On’ segments, and this Monday night, STAT and the Always On artists (Vado, Stalley, Jesse Boykins III) will be on hand for Stoudemire’s Always On video at 21 Mercer. To mark this great event, Nike Sportswear will give away six pairs of a Air Force 1 Bespoke ‘Always On’ inspired by Amar’e Stoudemire; the Bespokes feature a blue camouflage print upper with ‘STAT’ stitched on the lateral heel with the ‘Always On’ logo placed on the heel-tab. Don’t miss out on the event and the giveaway this Monday!

AF1 "LIFESTYLES" CUSTOMS PART 1

As a sneakerhead the goal is to have dope kicks and enjoy the culture. Like rap most of the world thought the sneaker frenzy was a fad but jokes on you, this is a "LifeStyle". My boy Alexander "Customz" Perez has created a marriage of real art and sneaker culture in to a master piece on the canvas best known for speaking to the culture, all white AF1'S. Stay tuned for the final outcome and a full write up from Box to insole.

Nike Air Yeezy 2 – Release Date

Originally expected to hit retail towards the end of 2011, Kanye’s second Nike shoe saw some delays, pushing it back to sometime next year. Rumors have been swirling for a while that a March drop was scheduled for the first release, and now we get some unofficial confirmation by @AirMag on Twitter. While not affiliated with Nike, the source has posted a countdown graphic for the Yeezy 2, indicating that it will finally hit stores 100 days from now, making the tentative due date March 23, 2012.

Nike SB Dunk High – Teal – Black – Gold

Elsewhere in the Dunk universe, we see what looks to be a cotton twill on the side panels of this new Nike SB Dunk High but we’d bet it’s a bit more rugged than what’s being used on the NSW fare, given the demands placed on its hightop design. That material sees its color replicated on the suede toe and leather Swooshes of an otherwise teal suede design whose yellow midsole has these looking like the highest-contrast SBs we’ve seen previewed for 2012.
