Nike Zoom KD IV - Aunt Pearl

The pink-based colorway of Kevin Durant's Zoom KD IV is not only a part of Nike's ongoing partnership with the Kay Yow Cancer Fund, but also a tribute to his late Aunt Pearl. Though Aunt Pearl passed away when Kevin was just 11 years old, she helped mold him into the young man and superstar athlete that he is today. For that reason, a metallic silver pearl pattern has been added to various sections of the shoe, including the tongue, heel, medial side and underside of the cross-strap. Black fills in Swoosh branding and KD logo on the heel, while Kay Yow's Breast Cancer Awareness ribbon adorns the tongue. According to the NikeStore Twitter account, the "Aunt Pearls" will be released on Saturday, May 12 at select Nike retailers. However, they're also saying that the shoe will NOT be released online. So make sure you're on your Twitter account and keeping an eye out for the RSVP information from your nearest NikeTown. 05/12/12 Nike Zoom KD IV 473679-601 Pinkfire II/Black-Metallic Silver $95.00

Nike Air Force One Jeremy Lin PE Quickstrike

Jeremy Lin was a 23-year-old undrafted player, barely hanging on to a roster spot. During the 2010-2011 season with the Golden State Warriors, he appeared in only 29 games, averaging 2.6 points and 1.4 assists. Nike will commemorate the story this June with the release of a Jeremy Lin Air Force 1 quickstrike, featuring a classic New York Knicks colorway in blue and orange. As part of the “Chambray Pack,” the Jeremy Lin Air Force 1 will be priced at $100 and utilizes a chambray body with nubuck overlays. The tongue features a special “LIN” logo woven tab, a play on the original Nike NYC logo, while the heel features an embroidered “JL” logo. The shoe also features a Jeremy Lin autograph print on the sockliner.

Zimmerman Arrested, Charged With 2nd Degree Murder

(CNN) -- George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watch volunteer who says he was acting in self-defense when he fatally shot an unarmed teenager in Sanford, Florida, has been charged with second-degree murder, special prosecutor Angela Corey announced Wednesday.

Zimmerman was arrested on a warrant and was in the custody of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, his new attorney, Mark O'Mara, told CNN legal analyst Mark NeJame.

The charges were announced in Jacksonville by Corey, who has said her job was "to find out the full truth" about the February 26 incident in Sanford.

For weeks, Trayvon Martin's parents have demanded an arrest in their 17-year-old son's shooting death. His mother, Sybrina Fulton, said earlier Wednesday, "I know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that justice will be served."

Zimmerman's claim of self-defense failed to quell an uproar about the decision by Sanford police not to initially charge him and about Florida's "stand your ground" law, which allows the use of deadly force by anyone who feels a reasonable threat of death or serious injury.

Nike Zoom KD IV - Three 4 Five

The most distinguishable feature this shoe has to offer is the bike riding Kevin Durant silhouette on the heel, which was apparently designed by artist Swank One. Kevin has always liked to integrate details of his life into his footwear, and that's likely the case with this mysterious sample.
