Def Jam was founded by Rick Rubin in his dorm room at New York University and its first release was a single by his punk-rock group, Hose. Russell Simmons joined Rubin shortly after they were introduced to each other by DJ Jazzy Jay. The rest is history and what came from that collaboration was some of the greatest music to ever bless a beat box, walk man, radio and i-pod. Kixionary is dedicated to giving you the latest in sneakers and gear and definitely good music. Enjoy this series i like to call the "remember" series where i'll have saying "damn! i remember this joint from way back"!
