Air Jordan Retro 5 - "Quai 54"
When the images of the "Tokyo23" Air Jordan Retro 5 first surfaced, some speculated that it could be linked to the Jordan Brand's Quai 54 Basketball Tournament in France due to a similarity in colorway between the shoe and special releases for last year's event. However, that look is now being inherited by the brand's hoops tournament in Japan. Quai 54 is getting an all-new look this year, and we have the first images of one of the drops from that collection for you today.
Featuring what appears to be a premium tumbled white leather upper, the shoe is accented by hits of radiant green on the lace tabs, Jumpman branding and the Quai54 embroidery on the heel. Black works the inner liner and midsole, while metallic silver is used for the reflective tongue and "teeth" design. A July 2nd release date is currently assigned to these.

Nike Air Max 95 – Neutral Grey / Chlorine Blue
The Nike Air Max 95 continues to release in new designs. As of late, we’ve seen darker hues grace the classic silhouette, but this time around, the shoe boasts light shades of grey, along with one dark grey hue towards the top. In fact, the shoe’s design is actually reverse, as the shades typically get lighter towards the top of the shoe. Creating some nice contrasts are chlorine blue accents, which are visible on the lace holders, branding, and air sole unite. You can find them now at Nike accounts where they retail for $145.

Nike EKIN Event Recap “Los Angeles”
Here is a dope excert of an article you can finish reading @ http://www.kicksonfire.com/2011/04/29/nike-ekin-event-recap-los-angeles/
"Over the weekend, the Nike “EKINs” from Los Angeles and San Francisco held a special sneaker Show and Tell event in Culver City. The event allowed sneaker aficionados from LA and the Bay to show off select items in their collections and treat us to the story behind each particular shoe. One after another, sneaker collectors stood in front of a crowd of their peers and told stories of how they worked, hustled, negotiated, or just got plain lucky and came up on their most prized footwear. Despite the stigma often associated with sneaker collectors, the stories were often genuine and endearing. From an Air Jordan 3 birthday gift from a younger sister, to holding up a pair of Air Jordan 7s that were worn by a deceased friend when he died, everyone in the room was touched by the stories they shared."
NYC Dunkxchange Going Down This Weekend
When BUCKETS MAGAZINE asked DUNKXCHANGE founder and CEO, Gary Hughes, about the origins of DUNKXCHANGE and the inspiration behind it, he responded with the following:
"I actually bought 3 pair of fake Heinekens Dunks from China online that cost me around $1400. I have a wife, kids, and bills to pay. So, when I saved my money for sneakers, I wanted to get the kicks I was paying for. To get duped like that, it crushed me. I could not pay my bills cause some counterfeiters got away with murder. One night, I just had enough. Ironically, it was with a 6-pack of Heinekens. I came up with a concept on paper of a store that had a stage, speakers, a DJ, and a diner in it. After thinking it over, I knew realistically and fiscally, this store was not going to happen. That’s when I came up with the idea for Dunkxchange. The name comes from one of my favorite shoes, the Nike Dunks, and I was inspired by my purchase of fake Heineken Dunks, the name Dunkxchange was created."
